When moving house it is important to get your figures right and to know what you can afford. This calculator may help, but always check the figures manually before taking any final decision. How big a loan? This will help you decide what house you can afford to buy and how much you will need to borrow to pay for it. Enter data in white cells only. To use this tool you must have Microsoft Office Web components installed. If you have Microsoft Office, including Excel, you probably have these. If you cannot use the tool, try our manual planner. When you are ready, you can get a conveyancing quote and even instruct us on line at any time.
Note: At present stamp duty is not charged where the price is £175,000 or less. However from 6th September 2009, it will be charged where the price exceeds £125,000 unless government intentions change. Don't forget to allow for removal costs as well as any new carpets, curtains, furniture etc you may need. Remember that the above may not fit every case. Ask for our help if you are in doubt about the best way to finance your purchase. And what will the mortgage cost? Now move to our mortgage calculator to see what this mortgage would cost.
