Home Information Packs (HIPs)

Every residential property going on the market must have a HIP.

Our HIPs cost only £270 plus VAT.  This is for a fully legal HIP including:

• Energy Performance Certificate
• Searches and Title Information
• All compulsory documents
• Free hosting of the HIP on our website

For unregistered land and leasehold, details on request.

We take credit and debit cards (2% credit card charge.  We do not accept Mastercard).

About HIPs

A HIP is a pack of documents about the property and the contents of the HIP are laid down by government regulation.  Each HIP must include an energy performance certificate for the property prepared by a home inspector.

Young&Pearce will provide HIPs to clients and estate agents.

HIPS - the basics

The HIP is held by the estate agent (or the owner where there is no agent).  Prospective buyers can request a copy of the HIP, for which a fee can be charged.

Each HIP must contain:-

• An index of the documents in the pack.
• An energy performance certificate
• A sale statement
• A copy of the legal title to the property
• A local search
• A drainage and water search
• For leasehold properties, a copy of the lease and certain other documents
