You can print out the quote and if you wish you can instruct us on line to get us right on the case.  If you do this, no contract will come into existence until we confirm acceptance of your instructions.  Our standard terms of business apply.

Once you have obtained a quote you will be given the opportunity to instruct us on line. If you do that you will need to supply certain basic information. Do not worry if all this is not immediately available. If you make a mistake when entering this information you can correct it before transmitting your instructions. We recommend that you take a print of your instructions for your own records before closing the quote screen.

When you have submitted your instructions, you will receive an immediate electronic acknowledgement. We will then contact you, normally by telephone, to discuss the matter. Assuming the matter is to proceed, we will tell you the name of the person who will deal with the matter and formally accept your instructions. Normally this acceptance will be confirmed in writing.

You will be able to speak to the person handling your matter on the telephone, at our offices or communicate by email. We offer a full professional conveyancing service, not an impersonal, postal service as provided by some conveyancers.

Do not worry if after submitting your instructions you find that you have entered some information incorrectly - just tell us about this when we contact you.

Your quote will remain valid for one month from today, subject to any changes to search or land registry fees, vat etc.

The services contemplated by this page are conveyancing services in connection with the sale, purchase and/or mortgage of residential property.

If you are instructing us as a consumer (i.e. a person acting for purposes which are outside his business) you will have a legal right to cancel the contract of engagement entirely at any time during the 7 working days starting with the date we accept your instructions. Notice may be sent by letter, fax or email. However, the right to cancel will be lost if with your agreement (which may be oral) we start work on your case before the expiry of the 7 day period.

The amounts we have to pay to others (called "disbursements"), e.g. for searches, land registry fees etc., are outside our control and the sums charged will be the actual sums we pay.

You may terminate the engagement at any time during the transaction, in which case you will only be liable to pay for the work done and disbursements incurred up to that time.

Payment will normally be requested immediately prior to conclusion of the transaction but we will request you to pay for search fees at the commencement of the matter.

Instructions are only accepted in accordance with our terms of business.  A printed copy of these will be sent to you at the start of the matter and we will retain a copy on file. The contract of engagement will be concluded in English and will come into existence when we accept your instructions. We reserve the right to decline to accept instructions in any particular case.
